Don Kurasch is the founding partner in the firm. He was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1972, following his graduation from the University of Illinois College of Law. He limits his practice to civil litigation, including plaintiff’s personal injury, medical malpractice, corporate litigation, nursing home negligence, auto accidents, premises liability, FELA, products liability, and wrongful discharge. Don has won many millions of dollars for his clients over the years, including two recently litigated cases resulting in settlements of 7.5 million dollars and 4.8 million dollars.

Don has been a frequent speaker in the field of injury law over the years. He has addressed the Chicago Bar Association, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, union groups, and nursing schools. Don has been a guest lecturer in the Chicago Junior College system on the subject of Urban Law. Don was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1977. He has been awarded the title of Advocate by the American Board of Trial Advocates. For many years, Don has been an invited member of the panel of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, and Illinois State Bar Association. Don received his Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, in 1967. He was born in Oklahoma City, and has lived since childhood in Chicago. Don’s father was a labor union president, which Don credits for his love of fighting tough for the clients he represents.

Daniel A Klein is a partner in the firm. Following graduation from Ohio State University College of Law, Dan was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1990, and the Florida bar in 1994. He practices primarily in plaintiff’s personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. His practice also includes wrongful death, nursing home negligence, auto accidents, premises liability, FELA, products liability, and wrongful discharge. He has tried many jury cases and arbitrations to successful verdicts. Dan has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients. In 1994, Dan had the largest verdict in Cook County for an unoperated disc injury.

Dan serves as a Chair qualified arbitrator in the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association, and the Florida Bar Association. Dan was born in Ohio, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University in 1987. Dan’s father is a physician in Ohio, and he credits that background for his strong interest in medical issues.

Sheridan L. Ryan is an associate in the firm. She has been a lawyer since 1999, and is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Texas. Sheridan received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, at Texas Tech University School of Law. She was an editor of the Legal Research Board. Sheridan has been a licensed Physical Therapist since 1987, and worked in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs in Palo Alto, California. In addition to fighting tough for her clients as a lawyer, Sheridan is also currently on staff at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, rated the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country 11 years in a row by U.S. News and World Reports magazine.

Sheridan practices primarily in plaintiff’s personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Her practice includes wrongful death, nursing home negligence, auto accidents, premises liability, railroad negligence, FELA, products liability, and wrongful discharge. Sheridan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association. Ms. Ryan received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1987. Sheridan’s combined backgrounds in physical therapy and the law account for her strong advocacy of the firm’s injured clients.
